Welcome to my world! My art is original, based on my sketches, photographs and spirit. My goal is to have each painting sing to you.

I used to write a lot of poetry. When I was 19, I wondered about my creative writing.... Where did it come from? I expressed that wonder in the following poem.

"What leads untended seeds
To the Warm Core of the Earth?
What makes them Bare,
  Until someone gives Care
To make them become what they're worth?"

This is a Painting I did as a student. My goal was to master painting pearls, with their soft sheen.
Poetry and art are expressions of our core being. They are our "voice" and we should let them pour out: don't tell them to be quiet and go away.

It is the fruit of the soul that makes life worth living, not what you "are" in the mundane, commercial world.

This was also a painting I did as a student of Diane Becker's. My goal here was to master painting material, with all it's nuances.

This is another student painting of a "Mountain Man". I wanted to master the wild, rugged look of a man who was not afraid of anything, and could look at you without flinching.
